I have a particular affinity toward moleskins, Nietzsche, and fountain pens. I also enjoy cappuccinos, The Economist, dancing, B&W photography, Kafka, electronic music, philosophy, kickbox, Paulo Coelho, black (color), and politics. And of course, blogging. That's where BohemianTranscendence comes in: this blog is not only the recount of personal experiences, emotions, and thoughts, but also an exploration of the passion hidden behind our desire for life.

Hello and Happy Tuesday!!

I hope the week has been treating you well so far…

Just when I considered myself recovered from the double jetlag that hit me a few days after coming back from France, the daylight savings hit me. My body apparently refuses to accept it’s an hour earlier than it should be. But I’m actually rejoicing at this as it gives me the impression that time passes more slowly and that I’m able to complete more tasks.

So let’s start with some news, shall we?

My trip to France went really smoothly. I am crediting this to the amazing experience we had flying Business First and the flat beds.

For all pics, check out the gallery I’ve created. And, if you are interested in how to fly Business First without paying the high price, check out my older post on the subject.

It was a short trip, totaling 7 days, but 2.5 were spent in travel, so it was pretty intensive. We had quite some work to accomplish there while trying to see at the same time our families. And while consuming a Christmas-like amount food. The type of amount that requires a small sorbet in the middle of the dinner to prepare you for the next half of it.

Coming back to San Fran, I only had two thoughts in mind: lettuce and sleep. No need to explain my reasoning behind those, right?

What’s great is that once we were home, I actually somehow managed to get both of them. What I’m feeling ambivalent about is that major news we received which made me reflect a lot on the saying:

“Be careful what you wish for, it might just come true.”

I don’t want to divulge too much yet, but, a certain recent change might bring to plenty more changes… If it does, you’ll definitely learn about it here.

Wow! Your meal looks decadent and what a way to fly to France, nice! Off to check out your gallery and how to buy less expensive first class tickets, could definitely use the tips for when I go off on my honeymoon next year. And I understand what you mean by getting used to daylight savings time. The day does seem longer, no wonder I feel I accomplish so much in just a day =]
